Ever since I was a child, I loved to make people feel and look beautiful.

A Thermal Inkjet Printer For Your Face?

As I’ve been on my stationary road bike in the mornings, I found I REALLY love watching Robin Meade – well for one, she is just so pretty & two, she’s a nut who I find absolutely hilarious! And not only do I love her, but I really love the items they focus on on her morning news segment Morning Express with Robin Meade. If you don’t watch it already, I think it’s a great way to get your news & day started and for the most part, they really don’t touch upon too many depressing things like your local news channel would for example. It’s just little snippets of news and you feel somewhat educated to start your day & slightly perkier. So, each morning I watch an hour or so of this show (all while sweating & cursing… I dropped a dumb bell on my toe this morning, cool!) and ALLLL this week, we’ve been hearing random snippets about CES 2019!

According to their website, “CES is the world’s gathering place for all those who thrive on the business of consumer technologies. It has served as the proving ground for innovators and breakthrough technologies for 50 years — the global stage where next-generation innovations are introduced to the marketplace. Owned and produced by the Consumer Technology Association (CTA), it attracts the world’s business leaders and pioneering thinkers.”

Not only do I personally love innovation, breakthroughs and technology, in any realm, I was most interested to see if they would touch upon a new skincare device that tickled our fancy. While I hadn’t seen anything quite yet, I did do some Googling this evening and discovered a new breakthrough by Proctor & Gamble that was presented at CES that is targeted towards our skin. Being that P&G is based in Cincinnati, my hometown, I was extremely motivated to click on the link to learn more. I was also very excited to see it because one of our 2019 ‘trending’ guesses was how smart beauty devices will get even SMARTER! WINNING!!!!! And this read featured on CNET was exactly what we needed to get excited on what’s to come.

In case you missed it, here are our predictions for 2019 skincare:

What’ll Be Trending in 2019

According to the article, P&G has developed a magic wand that erases freckles & it was first seen at this year’s CES show in Las Vegas. Hey, maybe Robin will read this blog tonight and touch on it tomorrow! Girl, I got chu!

The future of skincare and makeup could in fact be brushless, that is if P&G’s new Opté Precision Skincare System catches on. This little handheld device acts like a thermal inkjet printer, yes you heard me right, to apply tiny dots of makeup or skincare serum with crazy accuracy to improve the look, feel and texture of your skin. It works by scanning your face with a camera, that actually can take over 200 frames per second and at that time it detects darkness, moles, sunspots and freckles. It then uses a blue LED to enhance the contrast of the skin, so the camera can see 3 times more pigmentation than the human eye.

Once it’s done sorting out your skin, it applies a PERFECT amount of makeup or serum via 120 thermal inkjet nozzles inside the wand that is able to deposit 1,000 picoliter droplets to precisely cover or treat the blemish. So this device can either apply a mineral makeup to treat it or a spot-lightening skin serum.

The Opté system comes from Procter & Gamble Ventures, the company’s venture capital arm, so for now, this spot stopping tech is still in the future, but it never hurts for a girl to dream, right!?
