Ever since I was a child, I loved to make people feel and look beautiful.

Beauty Brands That Are Giving Back

Phew! Cheeky’s I am back! Needed a week to organize my life 😉 I know so many of you know the feeling. A lot of really fun and exciting things going on but last week, I didn’t feel like I could provide my best content with all the goodies on my plate. I missed you dearly and thankfully got everything squared away!

We recently picked up Tarot Card reading as a hobby and a new wellness activity we can participate in (Here’s the one my sister-in-law got me). We personally LOVE all sorts of ways to become a better person (to ultimately be kinder to ourselves & others) and am always down to try new ways to do just that. So as I was reading my Tarot Card this morning ( I do a single card every day), it focused on the notion of giving back. There are of course a variety of ways to interpret any Tarot Card that you choose from the deck, but for me this morning, it made me think of skincare (and some other things but Cheeky’s always on the brain).

I think we can all agree that some skincare brands are just NICER! I don’t know what makes some appear that way more than others, maybe it’s their marketing, but I can definitely think of brands who I know to be kind to animals, the environment, people, their employees, the list goes on and on. And then there are those that really focus on their culture & promoting beautiful skin and bettering the lives that they touch. Those are all brands we love to get behind. So while some brands are easy to spot as ‘they’re so generous’, there are some on this list we were quite humbled by now that we know!

If giving back, in the traditional sense or in your day to day life,  is important to you, consider supporting these skincare brands that do that too!

Dr. Brandt

‘The Dr. Brandt Foundation is dedicated to mental health well-being by committing to a safe and healthy way to help, advocate for, and educate individuals and the community. The Foundation is pioneering necessary steps in creating a local, national, and international platform to destigmatize the conversation surrounding mental health issues such as depression and suicide prevention.’

On their website, they described that after the sudden passing of their founder Dr. Fredric Brandt, they knew it was crucial to take action towards addressing mental health & overall well being. That is when they started the Dr. Brandt Foundation in partnership with The Miami Foundation.  In September, they launched a campaign for their microdermabrasion age defying exfoliator. For every product sold, 5 minutes of lifeline support from The Trevor Project, the leading national organization providing suicide prevention to the LGBTQ community.
