Ever since I was a child, I loved to make people feel and look beautiful.

Cheeky’s Favorite Products *At This Moment*

Gah! We’ve been WAY too happy with our skincare regime as of late if that’s even possible to be ‘too happy’ about skincare! If you’re on the hunt for some new skincare products or you’re just looking to step your game, which is always fabulous, we thought we’d highlight some of our favorites.

Don’t forget to note… Here’s my skin type, so while MOST of these products are ABSOLUTELY directed towards all skin types, it may make your skin angry and nobody wants that, so please double check on all the goodies.

  • Dry – controlled
  • Non-wrinkle prone
  • Melasma – controlled
  • Cystic acne – controlled
  • Age – 31 (as of March 16th, just got done celebrating the BIG day) 😉
  • Botox in forehead & crows feet (performed on March 1st & every 4 months consistently)

I feel like that should be my introduction in life… ‘Hi nice to meet you, I have dry skin, melasma, cystic acne but I’m here and loving it!!’ 😉

Products listed in order of application!

Morning Routine

Okay so PATTING is absolutely where it’s at! I literally have seen the BIGGEST improvement (so many capital letters today!!!) in how many skin soaks up the product. Especially for my melasma prescribed meds… it’s really changed my skincare game. PAT, PAT, PAT! Pat your little ass off. Seriously! Just do it. I promise, you will see improvements in your skin.

Aczone – I use a prescribed Aczone medication to handle my lovely cystic acne. So pretty 😉 It has been a lifesaver. Would highly recommend anyone who has cystic acne to go on this. Head on over to the derm.

CosRX Liquid Lightning Vitamin C Oil – This is often directed to use at night, so if you’re lax on your sunscreen, use this sucker at night. I am a psychopath with sunscreen, so I feel comfortable using this in the morning. It helps with pigmentation, promotes improved skin health & even targets unwanted acne. This often goes out of stock and I have small panic attacks when it is! I’m on my 4th bottle and totally love it.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration – Next up is my moisturizer. While I really do love this moisturizer, I am DYING to splurge on La Mer, but I’ll keep this ‘tub’ for a while and it’s really been beneficial for my dry skin. It’s got lots of goodies that help with dry skin, eczema, acne (ceramides) and overall skin health so I’d definitely recommend if you struggle with any of those.

In an independent clinical study:
– 169% immediate improvement in skin hydration
– 100% reported a lasting improvement in skin dryness
– 100% found that the product helped soothe, moisturize and condition skin

No. 23 Nuvesse – For my eye cream, I really love it, but it’s $175 and I find that a little asenine… I’m a splurger at times, but this was kind of insane. I did use my Brilliant Distinctions points to get it from my skincare gal, so it made it a little better. It’s REALLY REALLY REALLY hydrating and I’m gonna go out on a limb and say that my lines underneath my eye are pretty much gone since I’ve been using it. I don’t have a link for it because it’s not for sale online (at least on legitimate places that I’ve found), but check around your skincare providers and see if they’ve got it.

Side note: I’ve never been a huge supporter of eye cream because it’s over marketed and undelivered, but I can confidently say this guy really helped me change my mind.

#CheekyConfidential I also apply my leftover eye cream to my 11 in my forehead area and to my beautiful mustache area. It’s FULL of peptides and I really wanna target the most wrinkle prone areas on my skin.

IT Cosmetics Your Skin But Better Sunscreen – Totally LOVE this sunscreen. On my second tube now. We’ve heard from a couple Cheeky’s too, I’m looking at you Casey, that love it just as much as we do! ‘A bestselling, award-winning, full-coverage, color-correcting cream with anti-aging skin care and SPF 50+ sunscreen.’ The only negative is there limited on skin colors but for me, I was able to find my shade…. (I personally love how Rihanna has like 5 billion skin shades for her makeup_

ColorScience Sunforgettable SPF 50 – I use this sucker right after I apply the CC cream above and throughout the day. It’s a powder brush on and super easy. I’ve got one in the bathroom and one in my purse. You can never be too cautious! Or neurotic, whatever 😉 While I personally love it, we do have one Cheeky who isn’t a huge fan… so if powder aint your thing, just stick with the CC cream above.

Night Routine

Don’t forget to PAT, PAT, PAT!

First thing is first… I use my jade roller. They often recommend using it with an oil on your skin, but for some reason the texture of that just grosses me out, so I do it right before I begin adding all my skincare products. I recently just recommended a jade roller to my momma and she is stoked to get it. You can also use this in the morning and stick it in your refrigerator to help with puffiness. Whatever works for you!

Groots Melasma Cream – This is another product that you can only get at your dermatologist. I use this for my melasma.  It’s absolutely been the best thing I’ve ever done for my melasma. I use this every other night because of it’s extreme bleaching properties, but I sincerely LOVE LOVE LOVE it and probably would have a MAJOR panic attack without it. When I say panic attack, please remember this is totally first world and I’m over-exaggerating, there could certainly be worse things going on! I promise I never ever forget that.

Elemis Peptide4 Night Recovery Oil – Life changer!!!!…. Our loyal Cheeky, Elizabeth inquired about Elemis products and while we had heard of them, we hadn’t tried them before. But for the love of god…. This is AWESOME! Certainly helps with fine lines and wrinkles. Feels great on the skin and smells so damn good.

  • 98% agreed it was the best overnight treatment they had ever used
  • 99% agreed their skin looked five years younger
  • 100% agreed after using this product it looked like they had had 8 hours sleep
  • 100% agreed after using this product their skin look like it had bounced back to life

Sunday Riley Good Genes – Next up on our list! This is another life changer and I’m so glad it’s in my skincare regime. ‘Good Genes All-In-One Lactic Acid Treatment is formulated with high potency, purified grade lactic acid that immediately exfoliates dull, pore-clogging dead skin cells, revealing smoother, fresher, younger-looking skin. Fine lines appear visually plumped while the skin looks more radiant. With continued use, the appearance of stubborn hyperpigmentation and the visible signs of aging are reduced for a healthier-looking complexion. Perfect for all skin types and all ages, this treatment is enhanced with licorice for brightening, Good Genes clarifies, smooths, and re-texturizes for instant radiance.’

  • Clinically tested and proven to significantly improve the appearance of lines and wrinkles in 3 minutes.
100% of women said their skin looked and felt significantly smoother and more radiant, with visibly reduced lines and wrinkles after application
  • 100% of women said this was the most effective skin-plumping product they have ever used and would definitely recommend this product to a friend

Slightly expensive, but a little absolutely goes a long way!

Kora Organics Noni Glow Face Oil – This is another amazing one! As you can see, I’m really LOVING this new regime. ‘This moisturizing oil is made with certified organic noni extract, rosehip oil, pomegranate oil and sea buckthorn oil, which combine to create a rich source of antioxidants and essential fatty acids. The formula is designed to absorb quickly into dehydrated skin to smooth, nourish, and brighten while providing a natural glow. Skin feels softer, smoother, well-hydrated, and plumper, and the visible effects of sun damage and scarring appear diminished. The oil also assists in boosting natural radiance and creating a more even tone.’ I think this has singlehandedly helped with dryness.. so any of you dry gals and guys out there, pick this sucker up!

Herbivore Phoenix Facial Oil – I wasn’t kidding when I said I had dry skin 😉 So many damn oils! For this guy, I would certainly say he can be hit or miss and NOT for all skin types. I had some issues with my skin when I first started using this facial oil, but I kept at it and really love it. It’s absolutely heavy and thick and I’m pretty sure my pillow is half oil at this point, so it’s UBER important to apply this about 30 minutes before bed so it’s not all lost when ya toss and turn.

Side note: This product is excellent against dryness and heat (most importantly HEAT, cause not many products can protect your skin from that) from your environment. So if there are any Tucsonsans or desert rats who follow this blog, you may want to consider this.

First Aid Beauty Ultra Repair Cream Intense Hydration – And here we are again with our moisturizer from up above!

Herbivore Rose Hibiscus Face Spray – This is probably most about holistic care and the routine of it… though I think it is super hydrating. I just love the idea of spraying my face with goodness and sealing in all that I did before hitting the sack. ‘Rose Hibiscus Hydrating Face Mist is created with pure plant actives — no fillers. A base of coconut water is infused with youth-boosting hibiscus flower petals and moisture-enhancing rose to tone, hydrate, and soften all skin types. ‘

Skinfix Renewing Cream – So this guy is new for me and tonight will be my first night using it. My dermatologist recommended this for my KP – those tiny annoying bumps on the back of your arms and legs. I’m REALLY excited to get this going. I’ve dealt with it since I was a teeny bopper, so it’s about fricking time I do something.

Maintenance Routine

So tomorrow, I’m going in for my first round of hair laser removal. My poo bear got this for me and LORD knows I need it. I got laser hair removal done on my face when I was 11 or 12, but clearly you cannot tell whatsoever that I had that performed, so I’m looking really forward to starting this routine.

The new laser DOES NOT effect melasma whatsoever, I’ll have to get the name if you’re interested! It takes 6 treatments to get 80% of the hair removed and the nurse said I should see vast improvements on my second treatment. I will go every 4 weeks for the next 6 months and then I’ll be done. I’ll definitely share my experience with you guys on here as I know many of you Cheeky’s would rather not be dealing with facial hair & than includes the mankind group too!

Intense Pulse Laser – So this is something I did for 3 rounds, 4 weeks apart and have seen tremendous improvements in my complexion. While I’m done with the maintenance portion, I will absolutely be doing this once or twice a year moving forward. Check out our blog to see all the benefits. It’s been a HUGE deal for my skin routine.

Glytone Rejuvenating Mini Gel – I use this mini peel once a week and it really helps with any bumps that you’ve got on your skin. That’s mainly the benefit for me at least. It also does help with pore size and I especially love it before makeup application. ‘Glytone Rejuvenating Mini Peel Gel improves the skin’s texture and radiance for a more youthful appearance. Glycolic acid exfoliates dead skin cell buildup and removes impurities from pores. Formulated for use on all skin types and won’t cause irritation.’

Elemis Papaya Enzyme Peel – So this is a new one and I am obsessed. I use it a few times a week and especially before I’m going out on a hot date. This is SO SOFTENING for the skin. It’s a wonderful gentle exfoliator for the skin and leaves your skin really glowing. Would highly recommend!

Farmacy Hydrating Coconut Gel Mask – I received 3 in a pack and I’ve gone through all 3 in like two weeks! So dang amazing! Ultra hydrating and left my skin feeling so smooth. I will definitely be re-ordering!

Solutions for:
– Dark spots and uneven skin tone
– Dullness and uneven texture
– Loss of firmness and elasticity

There ya have it! Those are my absolute favorite products to date. That doesn’t mean I don’t have a wish list from here to Texas, but here’s where I’m at and I love it! I also swear I’m not high maintenance… a certain family member, not in my family, you get it, has said I was high maintenance to which my poo bear strongly disagrees, I just care a lot about skincare and whatever does the body good, I’m there and willing! Let Cheeky know if you have a fav or two you’d love to share.
