I’ve been a big consumer as of late. For some reason, it’s just like my PayPal account is calling my name, making it all too easy to buy goodies online when their button pops up on an eCommerce website. Free People has been my jam as of late and at this point, I feel like I know their inventory like the back of my hand – it’s sickening really (and they fricking launch new products every damn day, ugh). I even went as far as to download their app, which I never do cause I really don’t like to fiddle with my phone too much. But in my new found LOVE for online shopping (I know, I’m so late to the party, but I personally LOVE, LOVE, LOVE to go shopping out and about. Throw in a girl’s day with lunch, mocktails/cocktails, chatter & shopping and I’m the happiest person on the planet. Haven’t had the opportunity to do that where I’m living as of now, so I’ve had to succumb to the online world), I realized that every time I’m searching, whether it be Free People, Chaser, Planet Blue, Anthropologie, Madewell… the list goes on. I’m constantly reading reviews. And not only that, but I’m looking for words like ‘Best Seller’, ‘Back in Stock’, ‘Fan Favorites’. It’s like a rush when I see it, almost a high. It’s not that I want to look like everyone else, because that’s really quite the opposite cause I tend to put my own spin on most things, but I want to trust that it’s good. I don’t necessarily want to keep returning items and dealing with all the hassle (ultimately, I just prefer to try it on myself), so I take great pride in being able to see which products are good & which can leave something to be desired. So as I’m once again, ordering more clothing, shoes & accessories, I don’t necessarily ‘need’, I was thinking about how that relates to my process for online skincare shopping. It’s in fact the exact same. (For the most part)

Any beauty product on the market can claim to be the best of the best. We know that all too well, right? My gawd, it’s like a never ending sea of skincare products and how in gawd’s name could you even begin to decide what works. Like Free People, I’m constantly visiting the Dermstore website to see what’s new, hot, back in stock, etc., etc. It’s really been a great go-to skincare site for Cheeky. So when Dermstore says something’s out of stock, it’s because it’s just that darn good.
