We’re on the ‘juicing train’ in this household!
The Nutri Ninja has arrived & the juices are being made! If you’re not up to snuff on this whole juicing craze, we’ve got you covered in our latest blog post. Juicing vegetables & fruits (specifically organic it’s said) is one of the most powerful health habits you can cultivate. I remember being a kid and my grandpa would guzzle down carrot juice like nobody’s business.. and that was after he did a headstand for an hour and ran for miles and miles in the neighborhood! Clearly it works! Not only can juicing help your body perform better, it can also help give you a natural glow on your skin – which is why we’re here 😉 You’re welcome!
If you’re struggling with acne, dealing with skin conditions or just flat out aging (or let’s get serious, all the above), juicing is a must & it’s darn powerful too. To be the most successful juicer you can be for clearer skin, we thought we would go through the best juice combinations to give you that beauty boost you’ve been needing! Plus, there are some delicious recipes that have been tested and approved by yours truly.
Lemons & Limes – these bad boys help to improve the body’s alkalinity which is a positive step for radiant skin
Avocados and Coconut Oil – provide an excellent dose of healthy fats to help your skin look its best
Arugula – A good source of vitamins A, C & calcium that can help protect your skin from free radicals
Kale – high in vitamins B & C, folic acid, iron and potassium that helps promote cellular growth and response.
Cucumber – Helps rid the body of acidic wastes and clears the skin
Green Tea – is high in antioxidants and is a well known life enhancer in many cultures
Ginger – prized for being high in antioxidants & is also anti-inflammatory
Carrots – loaded with vitamin A that helps rid of toxins. Also loaded with vitamin C to help prevent blemishes (& apparently help grandpa run faster!!)
Sweet potatoes – loaded with vitamin C and really helps to improve your skin’s complexion
Beets – full of nutrients that are anti-inflammatory to help cure skin conditions
Parsley – high in vitamins A & C to help promote clear skin and uneven skin tone
#CheekyConfidential If you’re got too many ‘green’s’ going on, just add some melons, pineapples or carrots to the juice to help cut out the bitter taste
Tips & Tricks
- Use raw, fresh fruits and veggies – preferably organic
- Make sure to wash all fruits & veggies thoroughly before juicing
- Consume juiced fruits soon after juicing
- Drink on an empty stomach – first thing in the morning or at least a half hour before a meal
