Ever since I was a child, I loved to make people feel and look beautiful.

Hyaluronic Acid – Skin Saving Hydration

As us Cheeky’s know, I live in one hell of a dry climate, Arizona & when I got here from good old humid Florida, my skin was in a state of shock. Dryness isn’t just an annoying skin condition to deal with, but it can actually accelerate the aging process. So for those of us who live in dryer climates, have naturally dry skin or are aging , hydration is going to be your saving grace.

It took me about 6 months to get my skin on track when I got here, but I was still experiencing dryness and flaking which was driving me mad. I could have used 75 layers of moisturizer on my face and still experience dryness. So of course, it was time to take some initiative and do some research. That’s when I stumbled upon the powers of hyaluronic acid, which is literally one of the best ingredients that I’ve added to my current regime. I may skip my retinol every so often to give my skin a ‘break’ or I may not always use my vitamin C oil if my skin is feeling a little sensitive, but I will never skip my hyaluronic acid treatment – no matter what!

Hyaluronic acid is commonly misunderstood & is not always associated with the intense moisture that it actually does provide. It is thought to be a ‘drying’ type ingredient because of the term acid, but that just isn’t so. When used in a cream or serum, hyaluronic acid forms a permeable layer and penetrates deep into the dermis, boosting the elasticity and hydration of the skin. The protective barrier on the skin locks in moisture, which gives the skin a youthful appearance.

Fun Facts About Hyaluronic Acid
