Just the other day we wrote a really informative blog on adaptogens for skin health & in that post, Cheeky marked Raw Beauty by Hum with a ‘Cheeky Wishlist’ emblem. That means we love it enough to go out and get it (or at the very least, would encourage you Cheeky’s, even if it doesn’t fit our skin type). But this time, one of our very loyal Cheeky readers, my dad, took the liberty to purchase it for both me and my mom! Thanks, dad! Such a winning treat.
We’ve been using it for about a week, but we thought we would take some time to go over Raw Beauty & see if it’s a right fit for you. So far so good for me! (And mom too!)

#CheekyConfidential What are phytonutrients? ‘Photodamage is known to occur in skin with exposure to sunlight, specifically ultraviolet (UV) radiation. Such damage includes inflammation, oxidative stress, breakdown of the extracellular matrix, and development of cancer in the skin. Sun exposure is considered to be one of the most important risk factors for both nonmelanoma and melanoma skin cancers. Many phytonutrients have shown promise as photoprotectants in clinical, animal and cell culture studies. In part, the actions of these phytonutrients are thought to be through their actions as antioxidants. In regard to skin health, phytonutrients of interest include vitamin E, certain flavonoids, and the carotenoids, β-carotene, lycopene and lutein.’ – According to the US Library of Medicine
How to Use
Mix 1 scoop into 8 oz. of your favorite drink (I use cashew milk). In their study, it was recommended to take at any hour of the day… I typically take it after work for that added boost. I work 6am-2pm, so by 2pm, I’m DRAGGING and this is a GREAT pick me up!
#CheekyConfidential Consider mixing/blending it though with all sorts of goodies… It’s a REALLY earthy taste, so chocolate ‘milk’ would be delicious…. Bananas…. Mint… Any of those goodies would really add to the taste. Pro tip from my mom: Heat it up for like a hot chocolate drink! Top it off with marshmallows & off you go.
