What to Bring With You on Vacation

Holiday travel will be here before you know it! Has this summer gone fast or what?  We can’t believe it’s almost September! In light of the impeding holidays and knowing that many of us will be traveling to see family & friends, we thought we would go over what skincare products to take with you when you’re gone.  Thanks to one of our loyal readers, we were inspired by the article they shared with us from The New York Times.

Let’s review a list of skincare essentials to keep you looking fresh & awake, no matter how tired you are of your bitchy mother-in-law 😉

Evian Mineral Water Spray – hydrating facial spray that delivers powered micro-droplets of pure Evian natural spring water!  Spray a light mist on your face to hydrate, remove perspiration & even pool chlorine from the skin (if you’re lucky enough to be lounging by the pool instead of slaving in the kitchen)

Cetaphil Facial Cleanser – visit your local Target store to grab a small, travel-size version of the Cetaphil daily facial cleanser.  Light, and easy to pack.  They are typically located near the pharmacy.

Neutrogena Wipes – since you’re on the go & you may not always have time to wash your face, grab a cleansing towlette – fragrance free & pre-moisturized, your skin will be back to feeling dewy & soft.

CeraVe Sunscreen – while you’re at Target, grab CeraVe sunscreen with an SPF of 50 or greater. Make sure to put that on even when you’re traveling – the light shining in the car & plane can do damage to your face.

Nivea Post Shave Balm – sometimes we only pack the necessities on our trip, but it’s important to pack those items that are considered luxuries because we want to always be looking our best.

Here are some other handy items –

  • Clarisonic brush
  • Chapstick
  • Plenty of water
  • Rich creamy moisturizer to use at night
  • A good exfoliator to really get all the grime and grease off your face after traveling
  • Washcloth (put crushed ice in a washcloth and apply it under the eyes)
